Over 160 local senior citizens from Caterham, Whyteleafe and Warlingham were recently treated to lunch to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Caterham Rotary’s annual ‘Reach Out’. Caterham Rotarians and Dial A Ride provided a free “taxi service” to and from The Surrey National Golf Club where the event took place.

Following a 2 course lunch, entertainment was provided by local singer John Lazenby and he was followed by our team of “Sing Songsters” who led a communal sing song which included numbers from the Beatles, Cliff Richard and well known musicals.

The afternoon was rounded off with tea and home made cakes before the guests were driven back to their homes.

Organiser of the day  Rotarian Steph Barrett commented:

“ This is a real community event which we thoroughly enjoy arranging as it brings such joy and happiness for those who come along.
