1st July saw then President Elect Colin Vane take on the role of Club President for the next 12 months.  At the same time Andy Parr became President Elect (To become President on 1st July next year. and Steph Barrett Vice President. (to become President on 1st July 2018.)

On taking over Colin commented:

“I feel it a great honour and privilege to take on the role of President of the Caterham Rotary Club. Caterham Rotary is a very active club and I am looking forward to a busy year.

Following our recent “visioning” session which is the development of our 5 year plan, we are engaged in a process of thinking laterally about what we do and how we do it.

The fundamental concept of “Service above Self” remains the pillar around which Rotary activity is constructed and this will certainly not change.

There is much for us to do and I am proud of the fact that the Club’s activities extend across the globe while at the same time engaging and assisting in our local community.

I am sure that my role will be facilitated by the support of the enthusiastic and friendly members of Caterham Rotary and look forward to building on the foundation they have provided.
