Howard will be discussing  life as a School Master and Head over a fairly typical career. He has  worked in South Africa, Botswana, UK and now off to Hong Kong and China. He will share an overview of his thoughts on the state of independent education, its place in UK and its interaction with the broader community. He will touch on the emergence of newer subjects in the curriculum that an ever changing world requires of schools, even from its younger pupils. The changing face of school sport will form a part of this.

Howard will conclude  his presentation on the recent phenomenon of UK independent schools opening up around the world and in particular his own work in founding a new school in Hong Kong.
