Lunch & speaker; Hazel Plastow – Face Blindness- Prosopagnosia
10th September 2015 @ 12:30 pm - 2:15 pm
Hazel Plastow lives in Caterham, Surrey, and has worked in the voluntary sector for the last 25 years. In 2010 she discovered that her lifelong difficulty recognizing people’s faces (including friends and family) was the result of a neurological condition – prosopagnosia (also known as face blindness). Working with three others, who also have face blindness, she has now set up Face Blind UK, a national organisation which aims to raise awareness and understanding of face blindness and to provide information and support to the estimated 1.2million people in the UK who are affected.
