A regular feature in our social programme is the Sunday walk and pub lunch, which we hold twice a year.  Sunday 12th October was no exception and over 20 members and their partners took advantage of a delightful walk in the Buckland and Betchworth area of Surrey, which was arranged by Rotarian Bill Mayes.  Coffee and biscuits kicked off the event followed by a brisk walk and then members and their partners tucked into a tasty roast lunch at the Red Lion in Old Road Betchworth.

A couple of weeks prior to the walk members and their partners had a guided tour of a part of London which took in Blackfriars, Fleet Street, Trafalgar Square, Admiralty Arch Hyde Park and St James Park. We were pleased to secure the services of Steve Stokes a friend of Rotarian Trevor Nott,.

Trevor commented “Steve was a extremely knowledgeable individual who has the ability to be able to provide a whole host of information and stories in an often humorous style. We hope to revisit London again next year.
