Rotarian Richard York, Project leader for the Caterham Half Marathon & 10K presenting a cheque for £1000 to Graham Attridge C-R-Y Ambassador

Caterham Rotary are delighted to be able to make a donation to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) with funds raised by the Half Marathon and 10K this year sponsored by local independent hospital North Downs Hospital, Caterham.

CRY aim to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.

The Bunny Runs in 2016 raised two thousand pounds for charities including Caterham Rotary Club’s charity fund, you can see how the club spends money on worthy causes by visiting their website http://caterhamrotary.org.uk/

This money is raised by the participants and made possible by the generosity of sponsors. Also essential to the events are all the volunteers who help in the preparation and on the day. We would be lost without them. If you would like to help next year with such things as advertising or marshaling please make contact through the Rotary Club website above.

In addition to our main sponsor of the Half Marathon and 10k, North Downs Hospital, we would also like to thank the following organisations for their help and support leading up to the event and on the day: Redhill Aerodrome, Waitrose (Caterham), Caterham Photography, Bunny Hop Dance and Fitness, Nice Work Race Management, AZ maps, Raynet Communications, Antonio of La Pergola Restaurant, St John Ambulance.

Our sponsors for the Bunny Runs were Bunny Hop Dance and Fitness, Surrey National Golf Club, The Caterham and District Independent, CATAX Ltd, Ross Cycles, North Downs Hospital, Tesco, 1st Caterham Scouts, The Vet on the Hill and Tandridge District Council.

If you would like to sponsor either event them please get in touch.

In 2017 the Bunny Runs (1K and 5K) are on Sunday 9 April and the Half Marathon and 10k are on 23rd July.
